I believe that a doctor that assist terminally ill patients in commit suicide should be forgiven. The terminally ill patients are only going to suffer and it is a doctors duty to help ease that suffering. Besides if the patient wanted to end there life so bad that they would ask for help from a doctor then they probably will do it with or without the help and what do you think would be easier on the family; having to bury their relative now or having to bury them later after they had to watch them slowly die for the last 6 months. The doctor is doing what is right and should be forgiven for it.

You should have included your example of Oregon State that you informed me about the other day. I think that example would really help your argument. Especially since in that state it is completely acceptable for doctors to aid their patients in committing suicide, whereas it is taboo everywhere else. Why do you think some places find this act as morally okay, but others do not?
